Wtb: '68 - '72
I am a newbie to the world of Corvettes, so be gentle with me. I am looking for my mid life crisis car.
The perfect car would be a '68 - '72 Convertible, 4 spd. no excuses car. Quality paint, nice interior and of course no rust. Matching numbers not important as long as it is not heavily modified and appears original as I plan on driving the wheels off it. The more stock the better however. I may consider other years/options, but it would have to be a pretty unique and desirable quality car.
I have gone through the ads here and there are some contenders, but I figured I'd throw this out there while I sift through them. My budget would be up to 25k for the right car. Doesn't mean I want to spend that much, but there has to a ceiling!
email works best for me: chevelless @ gmail dot com.

69 350/350 coupe 4speed Daytona Yellow
I have a 69 350/350 coupe 4 speed 3:55s Daytona Yellow Black leather int no cracks tears or fading, very little wear This is not an abused car the only things that are not stock is intake, polished aluminum and the alternator chromed the rest of car is original and # matching. This car has not been restored, there is NO rust, it is a California car all its life and has been very well taken care of. It has had one repaint 10-12 years ago, drives and handles great rides very smooth for a corvette, drive train is all stock mono spring was replaced 10 years ago with original 7 leaf spring. According to the speedo, and I cant verify it has 68900 miles, but by looking at the underside and interior it is obvious the mileage is correct, if you know what to look for you can tell. Original ball joints and drive train, brakes are heavy duty, non power. It has power steering, car is tuned to run on 91 octane and pull es very well through the gears, Wife's disability forces sale or it won't be for sale I'm asking $21,000 but will negotiate only a couple thousand to help in transportation if need be. Not sure where your located, I'm in California, there are many form members in Ca and id welcome anyone to come and inspect this car for you. I can e-mail pics if your interested. Thanks

Well, I have gotten a few leads on some really nice cars, but before I make a decision I just wanted to raise this to the top and see if there are any other candidates out there.

I have an Ontario Orange 71 350/270, auto, with 72K miles. It's all original, with everything working. Just put a set of Goodyear Eagles on it, and it runs strong. We just decided to sell and put the money towards an RV. I'm not too enthusiastic, but resigned to selling her. No problem with any member in this area taking a look at her for you. Let me know if interested.
