Somebody used to make a kit to put a C2 split window arrangement on a C3. It has been years since I have seen one, or thought about it, but this one looks like it was done right.
I remember seeing one on a 75 or 76 coupe. The rounded rear bumper gives it a whole different look.
I like it.

It's absolutely revolting. The OP is the only one who has it right.

Split window
Dare to be different.......very cool hot rod! This is what makes the world go-round. Life would be pretty bland if we all drove/collected the expected normal vehicle.IMO

Three stage candy brandywine for me, but I like it. If money were absolutely no object, it would be in my collection of cool stuff. (Assuming I had said money for a little while.)

I think leaving the body stock except for the split window was remarkable restraint and self control. many would flair the wheelwells and glass in the headlights and do a 73 type nose and take off the rear bumpers and glass them up to.
pretty good design sense if you ask me.

Quick answer- yes, I have (ever) liked a Vette other than stock.

This car is in my home town and it's gorgeous! It was built using the rear section from a totalled '63 coupe. It's not a kit. I like that it reminds me of a period correct custom - something that may have been done back in the day. It's period correct down to the Keystone mags that were a hit at the time. The owner takes a lot of flack for it at car shows but why? It was just another '72 small block that everyone would have walked past.

Bizarre but it looks cleanly done. I think we need a full rear 3/4 shot to really judge. $45k is insane but that's nothing new for a money pit and an owner in denial.
