Wow, the amount of work you put into this car is amazing. How hard would converting it over to a manual be, maybe with the Tremic kit?

In any case someone is going to be getting a very cool car, good luck with the sale.

ENGINE LS1
-2001 Z28 LS1 motor install winter 2009-2010
-LS6 intake and LS6 block
Typo?

Are you getting full lock to lock with no rubbing with those wheels?

Any feeling of binding as you go from lock to lock with that rack and pinion steering?

Why the metal leaf rear spring?

Power windows working good? Do they go all the way up and seal tight with the door closed?

Any interior squeaks, creeks or rattles?

Are the T Tops body color or glass?

Do the Z06 seat tracks sit on the same studs or did you have to drill new holes? Are the seatbelts C3 or C5?

Late model F-bodies got both the LS6 block and intake. You can tell by the oil pressure plate above the oil filter. LS1s had this feature cast into the block. LS6 have this feature machined flat and use a cap that gets bolted to the block.

Are you getting full lock to lock with no rubbing with those wheels?
I get full lock to lock without any rubbing.

Any feeling of binding as you go from lock to lock with that rack and pinion steering?
None. Nice and smooth. I set-up the shaft with both U-joint as far up the shaft and down on the R&P pinion to keep the angles minimized. There is slightly more on center play than I expected though.

Why the metal leaf rear spring?
80-82 with FE7 "Gymkhana" option rear got the metal spring. This was an FE7 car so it originally had it. I didn't want to be concerned about heat on the fiberglass spring, so staying metal made it a non issue. It is a new spring from Mid America.

Power windows working good? Do they go all the way up and seal tight with the door closed?
Windows work great as GM intended, and no issues with falling down, or moving as you drive. Weather strip could be replaced as it is original.

Any interior squeaks, creeks or rattles?
Some squeeks from the side windows, and when it is cold out (below 60 degrees) I get a rattle from the rear window trim area, due to the Magnaflows.

Are the T Tops body color or glass?
Glass and in great shape.

Do the Z06 seat tracks sit on the same studs or did you have to drill new holes? Are the seatbelts C3 or C5?
Z06 seats on C3 manual tracks. Im 6' 1" and it is set for me perfectly. Seatbelts are C3 and work great.

How hard would it be and what's needed to get AC working on this car?

Here is what I believe it would take:

1) LSx engine mod AC brackets from Josh (superpowers)
2) LS1 Compressor and new longer serpentine belt (I believe I have the original LS1 compressor still)
3) All new lines with 2 pressure transducers assembled onto the car. The original AC tube going into the heater box was cut off to facilitate the PCM location.
4) AC recharge to 134a
5) PCM reprogramming to re-include AC operation. I had AC deleted when it was programmed. This PCM controlled AC operation looks at both pressure sensors and adjusts idle speed and clutch operation accordingly I understand when AC is called for.

If you have the energy for such a project, you could do most of this work on your own.

B.

Make me an offer and you'll have plenty left over for an AC install.

I'm flexible on pricing if your thinking this would be a nice car, but want to change color, add AC, or even put on some tail fins from a 1959 Cadillac!!

90K on motor-tranny, and car odometer.

Just drove it on the fall color run this past weekend with about 100+ Vettes and it didn't miss a beat!

Default Nice CAR!

It is an amazing transplant.

I'm looking for an 81/82 but that is just a dat more than the budget will allow by the time I convert the Canuk bucks to Dead Presidents, ship it to Northwest and do all the taxes and duty.

Amazing looking car. That sucker looks **** nasty sitting at a dead stop. Congrats on an excellent job.
