trans swap help

I have a 69 4 spd thinking of putting in 6 spd from 97 ta only have trans and bellhousing I think it is missing a plate between them ?will this fit ?what else do I need to get? thanks

'94 and up are LS1 T56s I believe. If yours is a T56 from an LS1 car, you will need an adapter plate to mount to your engine. I *think* McCleod makes one. The LS style are rotated 13 or 17 or some such matter degrees and don't line up with your engine exactly. You will need the hydraulics from the doner car and I *THINK*, the flywheel and bellhousing from the doner car as well. There is a ton of information on the C4 tech site - do a search on the Doug Nash 4+3 to T56 swap. The info should be the same. I did the swap in my '84 C4, but I used a pre-94 T56 from an LT1 car. That seemed like the easier way to go to me.
Take all this with a grain of salt, but I think it's close. Like I said, look through the C4 site for the swap - there really IS a ton of info that should apply.
