Default Need help selling a 72 convertible

I posted a tread with the craigs list link to the add for my 72 convertible. 179 people checked out the thread and not one person made a comment. I was asking 28k which maybe a tad hight but the car has a new, less than 1K miles, ZZ4 and a TKO 500 5sp, not to mention the sale includes the origional matching numbers engine and trans. I really have no idea what the car is worth but I do know how much I have invested and I also understand that those to figures are not really connected. I would apreciate any help or advise but please spare me the wise cracks and low ball offers. I have included the link to the add on craigs list. Thanks in advance for any help you are compelled to offer.

I don't know if it is possible, but if you can redo the title I'd add the fact that the original drive-train is included in the title. If you can't add it to the title I'd make that the 1st sentence and in bold letters.

I think once you get in the 25k-up range in this soft market most buyers will see that crate motor and just quit reading thinking your asking too much and not see the sentence about having the original motor/trans included.

Good luck with your sale.

One other thing, if you want to try and sell it here open up a photobucket.com account (free) and post a bunch of nice clear pictures. Top, bottom, interior, and motor compartment. Frame and birdcage rust is a big concern so the pictures showing their condition are important.

I saw your car on CL and have to say if you where closer I would be interested. As for the money invested you are in the same boat with me. I have over 60K in mine and can come close to what i am asking
With the econmy the way it is it will be very hard for a person to have that amount of cash laying around and your car is to hard to find finacing, Good luck on your sale.

Sent you a PM. Like that shark bite. How is the coil over compared to the original springleaf?

I am looking for a coupe and am totally inflexible on that, but your car is exactly what I would have bought (subject to a minor disassembly for rust inspection) if I could live with a convertible, as I plan to do a ZZ383 crate motor and TKO to whatever I buy.

Someone is out there, be patient, these things don't sell overnight......expect to discount the car and sit on the original engine and tranny though.......
