Default FS-1968 427 4spd coupe:Not Your Daddy's Vette!

I hope this all fits, I'm selling my 68, not for the normal reasons, I want to build another one. If your looking for a stock, by the numbers, plain version, stop reading! Mine has been built well and is not stock.Darn near every piece on the car is new or rebuilt. It's a original California,Central Valley car, no rust. She runs and drives better than new, she won't overheat in summer or in traffic, she won't spill coolant on your garage floor or embarrass you at a car show, I converted a 327 coolant tank to an overflow tank and powder coated it. You get all reciepts in a binder. $28,000, the ONLY partial trade would be a 35-38 Plymouth 1/2 ton truck.....
So here it is:
1968 427/390 4spd M-21 Coupe..Vin 194378S427562
Power windows and Steering, no air car...
Block 3935439 T0718IC-powder coated orange..
Heads 3937793 + 85427562-powder coated orange..
Block-Heads-Trans and rear end are all matching to the car.
M-21 rebuilt, didn't need it, wanted fresh..
Motor was built, magna fluxed and balanced by Joe Boghosian, Tuned by second generation Corvette drag racer Jim Christianson.
-Holley 850 w/KN air cleaner on a drop base..powder coated
-Torker II intake,polished and matched..
-MSD Billet tach drive Dist and 6AL Box..
-High flow water pump..
-Aluminum finned valve covers powder coated..

-4 core high cap radiator..
-Edelbrock fuel pump..
-Iskederian cam #396750..
-Ram heavy duty kevlar clutch..
-75 amp alt
-Power assist ram with Wilwood steering box
-Wilwood calipers..and lines..
-new discs...
-powder coated front a-arms..
-all urathane bushings and rubbers in suspension..
-VBP 550 1 inch lower springs
-VBP rear 360lb comp spring
-new trailing arms, not rebuild
-new adjustable strut rods
-Edelbrock shocks rear, Bilstien front..
-Factory front and rear sway bars..
-$100 each U-joints(Cant find the name)!
-aluminized exhaust and Flow Master 40's, mandrell bent...
-All new Vacuum system/switches and related parts...Headlights rebuilt too..
-Re-chromed bumpers...
-All new wiring harness in motor compartment and rear tail section..including fiber optics.
-New gas tank and all lines to/from engine, new sending unit..
-New carpet laid over dyna-mat..feet don't get hot!
-Hand sewn seats and door panels..
-Dash top is original and in great condition..
-New seat belts..
-CD player with detach face, 1000 watt Foose amp,2- 10" subs, 2- 6" mids,2- 2 1/2" tweets, all built in one box for easy in/out..
-new Door handles, locks, rekeyed for ignition match..
-new blinker column assembly..
-Torque Thrust II Polished rims, front 17", rear 18" with custom expensive offset, Nitto Tires..
I'm sure I'm forgeting a lot of things, that's some highlights...

Here's what I think are the bad:
-Stupid clock does not work, forgot to check when it was apart!
-Speedo works great, odometer does not, again, ooops!
-Small crack in center of hood, anyone want to guess why! OOps!
-Drivers door light switch puched through a couple of months ago, havn't fixed it..
-I think it needs new glass in rear window, it's got a couple of scratches..
-paint and body work are 8 of 10, better than driver, but not perfect..
Please pm me with any questions.....

Well, since not any real interest on the forum, she's went on Flebay, maybe she will go to Australia or somewhere there's no rusting issues...
And thank you scott!!!

sounds awsome. very nice tone. If I didn't have sidepipes I'd want my car to sound just like yours. Well done. Good luck with the sale!

Funny you saw that, my wifes high school car, 67 with AC,front discs and pony interior. Soon as the Vette is gone we will repaint it back to stock dark blue, she's in great shape other than that powder blue crud..
Let's see a picture!!!

I will get out there,and get some pics.It's in the back building.1970 Boss 302,1970 Mach w/fact.351C/4Bbl,and 3-speed,71 convertible w/351C Bbl,and auto,68 fastback w/302,and 4-speed,71 351C 4Bbl(junk,but good C),66 convertible Bonneville,72 BB air,auto vette,and 70 SS ElCamino,and.......JUNK!!!!!:lol :
I am partial to 68s,and your car is AWESOME!Now just isn't the time to be selling a car like yours.I will say this.....you may try vettenet,I think it was.My friend had a SUPER,SUPER low mile 78 L82 pace car,and was wanting around 34k for it.The guys here on the forum beat him up for like 6mths for asking that kinda money for a 78.vettenet asked him what he wanted for it,and he told him 34k,so the guy gets 995.00,listed it 34,995.00,and did his thing.9 days later.......my friend had 34k,and a new owner had one of the lowest mile Pace Cars in the world.Just a thought.
Merry Christmas!

Hmmmmm

I am in SoCal so you're not too far from me. Just bought a new car for my wife though. If my business stays strong in the next couple of months I should be in the market for a nice new toy so I'll keep your info on the back burner.
