FS: 70 Convertible matching numbers
I never thought I would have to do this, but I need to sell my baby. After two years of work and way too much money, I have to let her go. I brought her back from the dead and hoped to keep her but it comes to the two roofs on the Vette or the one roof over our heads. Located in Southern California, it was originally purchased in Michigan by the original owner.
Specs:
1970 convertible with just under 84000 miles on her Vin #194670S413907
Corvette Bronze #418 with Lt Saddle Vinyl interior #993
350/300 number matching all original.
4 speed M20 original
3:31 posi original
pwr steering
pwr brakes
pwr windows
a/c
factory alarm
am/fm stereo (updated radio in her now, but I have the original)
Both tops (soft top does need replacement although for the few times I use it, it is ok for me)
Tilt/tele
Original Protect-O-Plate, warranty book, owners manual, radio suppliment and reproduction window sticker.
All new interior including seat covers, door panels, carpet, dash and console. Original shift plate, right and left dash pods and steering wheel
All new brakes, calipers, brake lines, master. Original booster
New fuel tank and lines.
new 2.5" exhaust factory style
New tires on original ralleys (original spare has never been on the ground)
New windshield
headlights and wipers work perfectly
all guages work including clock (replaced with quartz)
Too much to list and way too much money invested (do NOT tell my wife)
Bringing her back to life was the most fulfilling part of this project. I love the satisfaction of accomplishment. I never intended her to be NCRS quality. I want to drive them when I get done without having to worry about getting rained on.
Price: $25000
Not enough to cover all the parts in her! The labor has been a labor of love. Can't imagine how many hours invested??
Here are some pics, and more are available:
New price $24000.

This is a beautiful car, very nicely done. I wish I had the funds and I know this doesn't help you out any but someone will get a very nice car from you and I suspect it won't take long as nice as this is.
Best of success on your sale.

Charlie,
Beautiful 70 Vert and well worth the $30k. Sorry you must sell it.
Play the lottery this week. Maybe you'll be able to keep it AND send me a finder's fee.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family,
Rickman

Update>>>I edited my original post since I have fixed the speedometer. Roger at Corvette Instrument Services did a great job.
The alarm is also now working properly.
I have also lowered the price to $25000. Spent more and asking less.....the American way! What a great economy we have.

Now $24000. I know the market is bad right now, but ever notice the parts vendors aren't lowering there parts prices. It cost more today to fix these up, yet nobody wants to pay for one done. I can't believe that so many people think they can buy a beater and think they can turn it into a good driver for very little cash. They will be surprised.

Very nice example. Love the color. I have been trying to sell my 02 Z06 so I can buy a nice chrome bumper car. The market is really bad now. Everyne is getting beat up on prices. Hang in there. Jim

Super beautiful 1970 Corvette convertible with lots of of options, rare color. Great price. If I didn't already have my 1970 Corvette.......
A couple of questions though:
1.) Do you have it registered on the 1970 Corvette Registry? VIN needed or you can search yourself by going to this link:
http://www.1970corvetteregistry.org/
2.) I don't see the dated brass overflow tank for AC equipped Corvettes that's supposed to be mounted on the right fender.
Thanks,
Scott Sims
