Not necessarily BS ... it won't document the mileage, but it may "UN"document it. If the title history shows that the vehicle was ever registered with more miles than are currently on it, then it will prove the odometer HAS turned over. But a lack of information won't prove that it didn't.
So basically it's either going to confirm it's NOT 'original miles', or confirm that it's still a mystery.

It will only confirm the mystery theory. Rough body, chipping paint Firestone Firehawk tires, worn seats, missed aligned bumbers, wrong shifter and it is a 29,000 miles car? I still call
And it was sold to him with the suggestion that it had only 29,000 miles
When buying a used car forget about what the description the person says the car is. Look the car over and let it speak for it's self. The car has a nice combination of options.
Looks like a 20 foot at 25MPH paint job.
I thought you werent supposed to post ebay links to your own auctions on the forum?
Thats when people admit its their auction.

Id like to know which state is still providing "certifed title histories" for 30 year old cars. I used to do this all the time, but most states wont go past 10 years any more.
This IS the same 78 posted on the general forum. Also, based on the truck on the OP's avatar matching the truck in some of the pictures, it is obviously the owner of the car posting.
I really doubt that it sold, just a someone throwing a bid out there for the OP.

that would be TXDOT which is the state of texas department of transportation. they have copies of the front and back of the title every time it was ever transferred. even all the way back to 78.
