Well i really dont want to sell my baby but i just got accepted to medical school and unfortunately that dosent leave me very many options. So here she is, my 1969 corvette. when i bought it, there was a 454 and a 4 speed. I have since swapped that out for an Ls1 and a T56. The motor/trans was installed just a few months ago and it runs perfect. Last week i took it St. George Utah and averaged right at 27mpg! The car i was told is an original big block 4 speed car but i dont have the original tank sticker to prove it. This is basically a resto mod that i started but wont be able to finish. Save yourself time and money, the hard stuff is done! heres the rundown
The Good:
1969 Corvette, 1500 miles since ls1 swap
flow through vent rear window, ac vents but no ac hooked up
t tops
50k mile Ls1 out of 01 camaro, custom ecu program, power and mileage
Fresh rebuild on T56, Brand new Ls7 clutch and flywheel, throughout bearing
walboro 255lph pump, corvette regulator, push lock hose, russell fittings
shortened and balanced driveshaft, new u joints

black cloth seats in great condition
black carpet is ok, perfectly driveable as is, some fading tho
american autowire harness, 18 circuit, brand new, already installed
custom made aluminum radiator
twin spal electric fans, with programmable computer for fan control
aluminum overflow tank
new radiator support and crossmember
painted ralley wheels with trim rings
stock type radio with ipod hookup for endless music
small speakerbox in rear of car, just enough for crusing, nothing crazy
fresh chrome type powdercoat on gills, rear vents
clean title
body ready for paint, currently flat black, but i like em that way
l-88 hood, new
new bfg tires
dynamat throughout cabin
wiring already in place for high end stereo, amps etc. just basic stuff passes emissions with flying colors
Stuff left to finish:
needs weatherstriping
door panels are decent, but could use new ones
door locks not installed, have whole new set just havent put them in
i like the flat black but some people would paint it
steering wheel is a grant, missing center cap
needs headlight cover on one side, have all newbuckets etc. needs door
vacum system gone, was going to install electric kit for headlights
no wiper motor, was going to purchase detroit electric kit
have most side emblems etc, not on car
some rust on frame in pockets by rear tires, common place, very fixable
Overall this is a killer car, buy it and finish it, or cruise in style confortably. This is my daily driver, absolutely no issues with driveability etc. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. Asking 22,500 obo. Im located in phoenix arizona. If your local feel free to come by and take a look. I am open to some possible trades, however i would need 13k + your trade. Prefer something lsx powered, or classic chevelle 64-67, suburban 67-72 4x4, 68 or 69 camaro, but i like a wide variety so let me know what you have. Posibbly trade for cash and vw tdi, audi, etc some form of commuter for med school. Contact me and we can discuss options. I only have internet at work so if it takes me a day to get back to you please be patient. it says i cant post attachments for whatever reason so email me and ill send you my pics. thx
You really need to post pics with a car like that.
Everyone who says they can't post pictures is doing it wrong. You shouldn't be trying to use attachments. Get a free Photobucket account, upload your pictures, copy & paste the link here and you post them -very simple.
Bump!
I agree, flat black with the chrome trim and rim trim looks killer.
Also like the flat black carried over to the sidepipes. GREAT JOB!!! KEEP IT!!!!
I'm sure you've heard all the preaching about selling customs, so I'll spare you. However, you have such a narrow pool of buyers for a car like that, especially in that price range, you need to get aggressive... post it on ebay, or maybe you can trade it to a dealer for something more easily sold. I knew a couple of people with similar vehicles, heavy, heavy modified cars that were tough to sell, so they traded them off for more "marketable" vehicles.
thanks for the tips guys, i would love to keep it, in fact its killing me to even sell it, only reason im trying to is because med school starts soon and tuition is really high. ill prob post it on ebay soon, my family is going to lake powell for the 4th so maybe when i get back. im still open to cash and trades so pm me with any offers.
