TNBusa's 1970 #'s matching 454 stingray for sale (wrecked)
Mike (TNBusa) spent 4 years building this car. I am including links to some threads showing the build, etc. It was done RIGHT and was absolutely incredible. Well, some of you know that he wrecked it in early February. (link to threads about that too.)
He went back and forth for months while the insurance company was trying to work out the settlement about whether or not he wanted to keep it and fix it.......and it IS very fixable, or to just let it go. He FINALLY decided to let it go as he put so much of his heart and soul into it, and doesn't have it in him to do it again.
He sold the 540 engine and 5 speed transmission this evening, so the car will be sold as is with the original #'s matching LS5 454 that he kept from the car. He has the original #'s Muncie M-21 transmission, and original 370 gear. Everything else is pretty much as you see it in the pics in the threads.
The only thing that is not included would be as I said.....the 540 engine and the keisler transmission. Everything else you see in the pics would be included.
He's not looking to make any money on this. He just wants to get SOME of his investment back, so we're looking to get $12,000.00.
We've added the price of parts alone and it came to about $10,000.00 and that doesn't include the price that he paid for the car itself. Yeah, the body is bad so that would be a huge deduction from the price of the car, so basically that's like you'll be getting the car for$2000. ($12k total price - $10k for cost of parts alone.)
We actually thought about parting it out.....we could do better financially, but it would just be such a shame to do that to this car when it could be fixed.
The engine is not installed in the car.....but it is the ORIGINAL #'s matching engine.....he took it out of the car when he started the project. It ran strong when he took it out of the car.
It's got the original exhaust manifolds and also hooker side pipe headers with JCL baffles. Also it has the complete VBP performance plus suspension instllalled, but will come with the original suspension as well.
He put C6 seats in it, and the whole interior is new. He sold the C3 seats, so it doesn't have the original seats. (but I'm kinda partial to the C6 seats myself. )
Edit: This car does NOT have a salvage title. We have the clear title. We also have a professional appraisal on the car prior to it being wrecked. (with the after market engine) The appraisal was for $50k to $70k depending on market conditions.

I was wondering what happened. Havent seen a post in a while since the accident. Sorry he decided against rebuilding. Hopefully it will find a nice and appreciative new owner to bring it back to life!
Hey Eddie, I assure you the labor is not lost. There are a couple of paths in the future for Mike's car and hopefully both of them will do you guys proud.

Enjoy the new toy Dave. I will be looking forward to seeing both paths in the future. So take lots of pics and post them up. You should start a new thread and show us where you are with your project and what your plans are.
