Default 70 BB vert project thinking about selling

Well i think i have come to the point in my life where i have to start realizing that some dreams just do not come to be for some people.

i would be interested in what i can bring in for a 70 bb vert numbers matching car that i have owned since the day i was born.
it was my fathers car and i tore it apart 20 years ago to do a frame up resto. its still friggen apart. fresh 454, fresh trans, runs and moves but for the most part completly dismantled. i have two hard tops and 1 soft top for the car its all there but really will need to be completly redone. i completly stripped the body and started the body work but it will all need to be redone.it breaks my heart to even type this stuff but it is what it is .

i do not even want to think about how much money and time i have put into this car over the years.

i will get some pics of it soon to post (i have to bowwow a camera)
i would only sell the car to someone far away because i dont think i could handle seeing it locally i am in cleveland ohio so no ohio responses please.

Default Rules Suck

Rules say you can't go over 70mph south of Montana, too. Gonna sell your Z06?

Here's your price (from Manheimgold):

Fair value for a base vert = $11,000

Adder for 454/390 = $5,000

My guess at an adjustment for condition from fair = ($5000)

My opinion of a fair selling price for your car (as described with no pics) would be around $10,000 - $11,000.

Manheim's definition of fair used for their pricing model:

FAIR - Essentially complete and functional. Missing no major parts. Suitable for restoration. Paint, chrome and bodywork showing age. Minor body or chassis rust. Drives, but engine, brakes, transmission not perfect.

Sorry if I offend with the price...I'm not in the marketfor a vert , just trying to see someone here fulfill your dream of rebuild and get it for a fair shake.

What is the original color combo? Is it a 4spd or an auto? I may be interested.

I would also like to see pictures. Is 11K a fair price for a 1970 matching numbers big block?

with the motor and trans rebuilt, this could be worth more than $11K. body condition and new parts description with lots of pics would help judge price. be careful not to give it away. i would put it on e-bay with a reserve and see how high it goes - lots of people out there looking for big block projects so exposing it to a larger audience is a good idea. good luck.

Thats an interesting color combo. I'm no expert on 70 colors but I thought that exterior color 993 only came with a black interior. Does the car happen to have any documentation? Does the door trim tag show 418 or 424? Sounds like it will build into a real head turner.
