Default 1969 on Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6168

I don't know how careful I should be putting this link up here. Scared this one might get stolen from me!!! Ah, no risk, no reward...

Near me in LA, 1969, love the color...
The bad: Not Working:A/C,Heater,Radio,Clock,Wipers and Wiper Door, sidepipes missing some chrome parts, was hit on side, repaired, says The car runs and drives. The short block would have to be worked on to make engine run perfect.

He told me after questioning: "AC needs compressor, needs to be charged. The car needs minor bodywork and paint as noted in description.I have the right front and middle side pipe cover-the rear right cover is missing. Both side pipe covers need to be rechromed and you`ll need to buy the right rear(around $200.00) AND The wipers need to have the wiper motor rebuilt or replaced, and the wiper door needs the actuator working"

How much $$$ are we talking to fix wipers, AC?

SUPER THANKS

It may be a nice driver, but who knows? The A/C compressor itself will set you back about $300 more or less. If you do the work yourself, you could spend as much as $1500-2000 on the A/C, it really depends on what you find wrong. I would change all the hoses, POA, reciever/dryer, and expansion valve as a minimum.

Again, the wiper/headlight problems are also a mystery. I spent about $350 just to get the wipers to work on my wifes '71. This includes a new wiper motor.

Well, there are some ballpark numbers for you.

OH....this is assuming that you are going to do the work yourself. If you have to pay someone to do it, thats a different story.

From text:

This car has been serviced by one of the Best Old-School Corvette Mechanics in Southern California for the past 15 years."

Good thing he doesn't mention his name, could ruin the mechanics reputation by the condition the car is in!!!

I would not worry about someone here stealing that car out from under you. Many members here regularly scan Ebay and that car has been on there a while. I think that may be the second or third auction.

Ebay is great. Did you end up winning the auction?
