...sounds like a very car. Wish I could see it in person. How did the judges score the paint if you don't mind me asking? Does the "trim tag" say "SPL" or "SPEC"??? I've heard 24-28 1973 Corvettes were painted Black from GM. Just never had the opportunity to see one in person. Love these "oddball, unique" Corvettes. I wonder if a car like this would be a "COPO" car???

Trim Tag says "Spec" Paint. Original window sticker says 4001 Special paint, & because it was not left in primer, they charged $15 as noted on the window sticker for the paint. The build sheet says basically the same except it says 848 Black. Std wheel color. The car at 2007 Regional NCRS lost O points for paint color. Because it is original paint they deducted for anything that is less than perfect. The Corvette Black Book by Mike Antonick references 1973 Black Corvette, 30 were ordered by one dealer. It was Hory Chevrolet. Thank you for asking.

...Thanks Bruce, sounds like one very unique '73 you got there. Probably the only Black survivor. Don't know of any others that have surfaced. Can you post any pics?

Try this Bruce.

It's easy to post pictures using a photo hosting site.

Go to www.photobucket.com it's free and easy.

After uploading your pictures from your computer copy the link under the photo thats looks like:

[IMG]....................[IMG]

cut and paste that link right into your post here, and your done.

Very interesting and rare car.

Would be very interested in learning more of the history on this car, seeing the window sticker and seeing photos of car!

Purchased from Hory Chevrolet in Larchmont, New York?

Car sounds very interesting. Any chance you could get someone to explain the picture posting process (its not hard) and get some pics up so we can see it?

Default Testing

I am just testing instructions for downloading pics.

If I can follow instructions, and this works, thanks.

You are responding to a post in a For Sale thread from about 12 years ago.
