Removing the paint with a screwdriver was a bad idea. The stamp could be correct. Remove all the paint with thinner or paint remover and get the best picture you can.

so that's what those scratches are from. This isn't my car, it's a car currently on ebay

Pad looks original..............don't like the "detail job" in the engine compartment.

The pad looks good.Not a smart way to remove the paint.
