Default Help With Value Of 79' L82 Car

I found a 79' L82 for sale but I am trying to find a fair value on the car. This is the info that I know - 79' L82 Black exterior with cloth doeskin interior. The car has 18K original miles and still has the original paint in good shape but it is starting to "check" in places. The car is an automatic and overall in extremly nice shape. It is all original except for new tires, stainless brakes , and it has new exhaust. What is the car worth? Can the "checking" in the original factory paint be rubbed out or is it time for new paint? The guy is asking 10K. Not my first choice in vette but I though with the low miles it was good deal.

Thanks,

Go get it
The price is in your favor if the car is as you have described.

Assuming what you are calling "checking" is actually the paint cracking, no, it can't be rubbed. How do you know the '79 actually has 18k miles and not 118k?

Has anyone ever seen a car advertised with "unoriginal" miles?

Last year I went to see a car that was described as a 'survivor' car and craigslist. It looked more like a 'victim' car.

The car does have 18K miles based on documenattion and conditon of interior and under side. Paint looks to be cracking and that is what bugs me most about the car. Car is all original and everything is there.

take some pics and post them on here. I'm sure you could get alot of advice after others view it. Some you might want, and some you don't want. Good luck
