WTT highly modified Jeep Scrambler for vette
Hey all, I'm looking to trade my modified 85 Jeep Scrambler for a 68-74 C3. I want a 4speed also. As you know, these Scramblers are becoming very rare and collectable as well. And this one is extremely capable offroad. It was featured in JP Magazine as well.
Here's the Jeep.
85 Jeep Scrambler, 82K original miles, Inline 6cyl 258ci (original), 4spd manual, Dana 300. The jeep just passed our E-check (smog check) here in Cleveland.
Dana 44's out of a Scout, 4.56 gears, ARB air lockers front and rear with compressor, SOA with 1.5" RE YJ springs, 1" body lift, Shackle reversal, 1-ton steering and flat top knuckles (with high steer arms, but the steering is still on the original knuckle arms),tom woods driveshafts, 10K lb winch, stinger front bumper, interior cage fits under half hard top, half hard top, rear cage in case you want to mount a seat in the back, nice rear bumper with class III receiver hitch, bikini top, sport seats with 5pt harnesses, aluminum diamond plate tool box in back.
4 38x16x16 Mickey Thompson Baja Claws at 95%, MTII classic aluminum wheels (16x10) these wheel probably need more backspacing as the tires rub a bit when turning, 1 spare 38x14 SS SX 75% tread.
This jeep runs good, does 70 straight and true on the highway (with a tailwind ) and it gets 15 mpg!!! (probably due to the gearing). The body has no visible rust. The frame is solid! I have undercoated everything since I have owned it. An auto mechanic by trade and I built this whole project and purposfully made it a "streetable" and capable rig! Most all of the nuts, bolts and hardware are new.
It has a set of rock sliders (steps) on the side (welded into the cage and frame). Protects the body from damage. Also has 4 new Edelbrock Twin Tube shocks. All fuel lines, brake lines are new. Upgraded to power brakes (with a YJ power booster) from the manual ones it had. The front axle was completely rebuilt with all seals, etc by a shop in town only 6 months ago.
Half hard top, full doors, Also comes with bikini top.
now for the pictures
The only pic I have with the top and doors on. I know its not a good one, but you get the idea
Here's a video of it before the stinger bumper and new tires... its a little dirty too

Any interest? I need this Jeep gone before I can purchase another vette. Even better if I can trade for one! You won't be disappointed with this Jeep!

I just had the CV driveshafts rebuilt and paid $800 for a Weber carb conversion. It has a new carb! Pics:
Couple more pics with the top on.
I am seriously trying to sell this now. I wasn't really advertising it before. It will be on ebay soon.
