Default need help on value of 73 coupe

I need help onthe value of a 73 coupe project. The car has the original small block engine, 4spd transmission, and rear. It runs and drives but probably is going to need the brakes looked into. The calipers do not leak but the pedal is soft. The frame is in good condition for a driver. The headlights work. The seats are brand new recovered. The door panels and pillar posts are new in box. The car has a complete new carpet kit. The paint is dull and the previous owner has started to strip it. I also need someone to host pictures for me.
Thanks,
Tony

Are you looking to sell it or are you buying it?

I am buying the car and I can get it for around 5k. I don't know the market for the 73 model does this sound fair for a #s matching coupe with new interior that needs a repaint?
Thanks,
Tony

Pics would help.

With no major problems and needing a paint job, 5K is a good price.

Check the frame closely, expecially behind the wheel wells and below the rockers. Look for any scale type rust. Light surface rust can be expected. Also look for evidence of past collisions.

Structural damage can make a "good deal" a sour deal quickly.

My two cents.

Good luck.

I can email pics to someone if they have the ability to post them on the forum or if they want a closer look. Thanks for the input.

The guy who runs ImagesUp.com is a corvetteforum member gave us a great deal (free when I signed up). I don't know what he is doing now, nor do I have his contact info, but you can search the archives or go to the site. Joe
