Well it's time to move on. I've enjoyed this car for 5 years and 30K+ miles, including a show award, and have been improving it all along. It's almost completely restored now, and ready for the next owner for only $19,000 obo. L48 350, auto, deluxe interior, A/C, PS, PB, PW, tilt/tele.
Car is numbers matching and in original condition. Previous owner spent $15K restoring this car in 1987-88, using only GM parts. I have a file over an inch thick of receipts.
Details:
Professionally repainted in original Classic White in 2000. 15x8" ralley wheels with original metal caps and rings. 245/60 front and 255/60 rear Eagle GT tires:

Complete Bair trailing arm assemblies with stainless parking brakes also installed in 2001. New U-joints installed in drive shaft and half shaft. SS calipers and rear spring replaced by previous owner. Original 3.08 gears.
. .
Deluxe black interior - leather seats recovered by previous owner, new Romeo Engineering carpet installed this year. New battery in 2004. All gauges work. Has a USA-5 radio/ cassette with 4 speakers. Matching 6-CD changer is available, but not installed (was in jack compartment). Original radio, amp and speakers are also available.

New black Al Knoch top professionally installed in 2001:

Car is in eastern CT, prefer local pickup. Will be advertising locally, too. More pictures available by e-mail jsavino@myeastern.com
Thanks for looking

Reason: lowered asking price
Original motor rebuilt in 2005: .040 over, 9.6 compression, Crane H-268-2 cam, Dart IE165 heads, 2 1/2" manifolds (original parts go with car). Modern head design and proper squish allows 89 octane without pinging. New Allens 2 1/2" pipes. Motor compartment restored at that time, including radiator and headlight actuators. A/C complete but does not work. New belts and hoses installed. Distributor rebuilt, too. . .
. .
. .
Original steering box professionally rebuilt in 2004, with GM rag joint. Original TH400 tranny rebuilt by previous owner. Tunnel insulation replaced in 2005. New GM battery cables installed at the same time.
Any frame issues with rust. A picture of the engine bay with the engine installed would be helpful. Did you switch out the valve covers for L-82? Do you have the luggage rack? What if anything does it still need?
No rust in the frame. Here are some more engine pictures.
. .
The valve covers are not original, previous owner added them, I polished them. I can change to a set of steel covers if you'd prefer.
I do have a stainless luggage rack available, with mounting kit.
There are a couple of interior trim pieces missing in the rear compartment and one of the seat back covers is missing. The storage compartment doors are missing the hinges and latches, but I may have them in a box somewhere. I didn't install the rear carpeting, but it comes with the car. The carpet back there looks fine. Nothing major is missing.

It is a fair price and the car look's good. But as stated above the Corvette market is very cool right now.If you don't have to sell it I would hold off a bit.I think the prices will come back up, but when who know's.Right now it seem's everyone want's Nova's and Camaro's.JMHO.Viet
I don't think your price is out of line at all. Unless the frame is missing or Jimmy Hoffa is in one of the compartments, you'll only have to be patient.
Hi
Saw your thread about a week ago but work has kept me too busy to reply;
A couple of questions, what HP is the current motor giving ( you may have told it on the thread but I can't see it ) and on some of your photo's it looks like you have a hard top up? or is it a very good fitting rag top?
If you can respond this weekend maybe I can give you a call sunday, whats the best time for you to talk?
I have it's twin, only mine is (or will be) silver.
Funny, I'm thinking of putting the same cam in mine when I rebuild the engine.
I put that same cam in my '77 corvette, it made 225Hp to the rear wheels, with stock heads, stock intake and quadrajet, and headers.

Desktop dyno says about 310 HP - It's got a real good midrange pull, too. No hardtop - it's an Al Knoch top, professionally installed. The car did come with a hardtop - the extra hole is in the deck lid.
I will be away this Sunday through Friday, so next weekend would be the first time I can talk besides tomorrow. How would I get in touch with you? Joe
