I had this listed in the fall, but that's the wrong time to sell this.
I am considering selling my 1970 Monza Red (Correct color) Convertible. It kills me to sell her, but I need a classic with 4 seats. I'm tired of my kids fighting over who gets to go & I can't afford to have two.
I have a very nice rare optioned 1970. It is a convertible with both tops. It has a 350/300 auto. It has factory air which is incredibly rare for a convertible. The air compressor is there, but it doesn't spin and the lines aren't hooked up. Remember, 1970 was a low production run, only 6648 convertibles, not many with Air.
It has power windows, power steering, manual brakes, original glass, matching top end, haven't checked other numbers.
Vehicle is a high quality driver, would take an engine detail & interior freshening to make it show quality. This vehicle runs & drives like a dream.
Brake lines are SS, it has brand new SS Calipers, hoses & pads. Although the brakes are manual, it stops very well.
Exhaust is anodized aluminum.
There is a small tear in the hardtop & it needs rubber. There is small tear in the back of the drivers side seat. Engine needs new bottom end gasket, small oil drip from lack of use. With use it might stop.
Original radio & pretty much everything else. I do not know the history of the vehicle, it has 114,000 miles on it. Engine was rebuilt & the car has an older restoration on it, which was very well done. Oil pressure gauge recently stopped working.
I am looking to get a first generation Camaro with a big block. I was looking for $23,500 for my vette. I would consider a trade for the right Camaro.
After having a forum member who is more knowledgable than I look at my vette, it was determined the block is from a 1971 350. It must have been used during the rebuild. All of the chrome engine shields are on the engine.
Hello. My name is Scott Sims and I own a 1970 Corvette, a NCRS member, and a member of the 1970 Corvette Registry http://corvetteforum.net/c3/1970regi...0Registry.html which Juliet Page, also a NCRS member, founded. We are in the process of trying to get as many 1970 Corvettes posted on the Registry as possible. Currently we have over 1200 or 6.99 % of 17,316 1970 Corvettes registered. Our quest is to encourage sellers/owners/buyers to join the registry. There are no fees required to join. The information we need is the location of car, build date of car, trim tag information, VIN (optional), engine/transmission, options, and photo. Please send the information to me at ss396t6@sbcglobal.net and I will forward the information to Ms Page. She will then post the information on the 1970 Corvette Registry along with the photo.
