Black/Black (factory colors), new steeroids rack and pinion conversion installed ($1200), new a-arm bushings and balljoints, new 1 1/16" front sway bar and bushings, new 360lb rear monospring installed, new front 460lbs coils and shocks. Interior is in excellent condition, exterior paint is in good shape for the age, there a few scratches and chips, but looks great! Engine runs excellent and uses NO OIL, tranny shifts good, brakes feel great. All lights work and turn signal controls, steering column feels firm and tight. New zz4 aluminum intake with new 650cfm demon carb. Carpet is in good condition. You can drive this car anywhere, it runs great and looks good and makes you FEEL GOOD Won't pass smog in CA obviously due to demon carb and intake with EGR block off plates, will probally pass smog in other states and will be exempt in CA pretty soon....Owned it since 1999. I paid 7.5k for it 1999 and made a whole bunch of upgrades and driven it about 5k miles....
Looking to get 8000 FIRM or Trade for good 89+ C4
If you were not so far away, I would definitely look at buying the vette, but I live in Virginia and the shipping alone would probably make it cost prohibitive. Sure is a nice vette though.
....would love to but (a) I'm still a year to 18 mos. away from buying my 1st Corvette (has to be a C3 as I first fell in love with the "Shark" as an Irish teenager new to North America in the early 70's) and (b) I live in Toronto and my initial research shows that cross-border U.S.A to Canada car imports bring a lot of paperwork and hassle with it.
BTW, on a general note, I just want to say that this is a great forum with lots of goodies/info etc. for a Corvette "newbie" like me that should help me when I'm ready with cash in hand to buy my 1st Corvette. I'm also planning on going to Carlisle this August for the big weekend to get a better sense of what model year I'd like to eventually buy - already counting the days to August 26th....
