Default Have Option to buy 69 Coupe?????

Hello- My name is Matt and I just signed up today. I am currently a huge Car Nut as I currently own a Triple Black 67 SS Chevelle Conv. I am asking for assistance regarding a Purchase of a 69 Coupe 427, 4spd, (I think) 390hp car. A friend here at work mentioned it to me in everyday conversation that his Brother In-Law has one and is serious about selling it. According to my buddy at work it is in great Condition with very minor flaws, not concours but a better than normal "driver" (Honestly) Just what I am lookin for if it all checks out to be true.... As I never understood the Museum Quality Trailor Queens!!!

Anyway To my question - What would a 69' 427, 390hp, 4spd, T Tops, coupe, with Side pipes be selling for these days? Not sure of miles or Color yet?

I have searched on Ebay, Auto Traders, and a Couple Local Places, and this Price this Guy wants for this Car seems to good to be true at ($25,000). He is an older gentleman looking to not have to maintain old cars anymore as he is looking to retire.

Please let me know your much saught opinions...

Thank You for your help-
Matt

Seems about right. This is from Vetteweb.

1969 COUPE 427-4V/4-spd. 390 HP TOTAL PRODUCTION 10,531 RPO# L36 #1 Condition:31,250 #2:25,5000 #3:20,500 #4:16,000 #5:12,500

Add $1,000 to $3,000 for air conditioning. Add 25-50 percent for an unrestored original (#1 or #2 condition).

Need more info to say for sure, but my guess is that $25K is on the high side. If it is really an above average driver it is probably worth between the #3 and #2 price above depending on options and condition. Also, it must be numbers matching. If it is a 400 or 435hp car, $25K is a good deal

IF the numbers match, and bonus if the sidepipes are correct and in nice shape.
