Default FS '69 vert, 350 LS1, 4 speed. AWESOME!!!- SOLD

This car was rebuilt from the frame up a couple of years ago. I bought it last summer from a guy on this forum and I have enjoyed having it but I have realized that I am not a C3 guy. Anyway, I have a website with pics of the car in various stages of being rebuilt. When I picked the car up last summer it had a transmission leak that has since been fixed. I drove this car from Raleigh, NC to Philadelphia, PA on the day I bought it and never had a single problem.

The car is a purple'ish color that changes in the sunlight. You have to see it to believe it.

If you are interested in the car, let me know and I'll be happy to talk your ear off about the car.

Price is $25,500. The numbers on the block match the VIN. This was originally a coupe but during restoration it was changed to a Vert.

Jason

Nice C3 vert! LS-1? It appears to have a proper era block & heads & rocker covers. And the LT-1 was not available until 1970. Please clarify. Thanks.

I'm not sure... I'll go out and look in the morning. This is what I get for not paying more attention to the car.

Do you have any pics. If so, send them and I'll talk to my wife about it. I'll also need to know what options it has. 6 speed? Auto?

You can email me at kleinjason@mac.com

C5 is A4, with about everything avail in 98. Has Y2K wheels, new Pilots and the engine is stock. In my mind that is a plus no nitrous or hard driving!!!
I will get some pics to you .

The car belonged to a guy who frequents this board, I can't remember his screen name though.

The car is wonderful. The main reason I am selling it is because the "boss" can't drive it and she wants a C5 instead. Well, actually she wants a C6 Z06 but something tells me it will be a few years before we get high enough on the list to get one.

Anyway, thanks for the endorsement.

Okay, this car no longer falls into the "willing to trade" category. We have decided to buy one of the remaining 2004 CE Z06's and we don't want to end up with a driveway full of cars. The car is still for sale though.

Thanks.

I'm not sure if you are the same person who I emailed this morning but the car isn't going anywhere for less than $25500.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'd just rather drive it than let it go for less than that.

Here's a link to the car being rebuilt;

Let me know if you want to talk more about this.

Terps,

I remember looking at pics of this car last October/November time frame. That is one sweet looking ride! Out of curiosity, how much trouble (if "trouble" can even be quantified) was it to swap out the coupe bird cage for a vert bird cage? Did PA require a reconstruction title to register it? Were you able to swap the original VIN plate off the old bird cage onto the new one? I only have 24K but if I had the 25.5K it would be at the top of my short list.
Peace

Todd

I didn't rebuild the car... heck, I'm almost afraid to install a Halltech Trap air intake on my Z06.

I'm not sure what happened with the old vin plate. I'm going to try to find out though, I never thought about it before.

When I bought the car, there was a normal title, I don't know if that means anything, I just didn't have to do anything special to register it.

Hi Jason, I saw the pics from the guy that built the car. Does your PA Title have a { R } for reconstructed on it? Is the car titled as a convertible? Can you give me the vin # on car and is it the same as title? Can you tell me why the trans was rebuilt? Is it PA inspected?Do you have classic or antique PA tags? I live in Phoenixville and probably within miles of you. Thanks Paul

paul,

I'll answer some of your questions now, but I'll have to answer questions about the title on Monday. The trans was rebuilt because it had some leaky seals and when I took it to the trans shop, I had them rebuild it since it was already out of the car. The car doesn't need to be inspected because it is over 25 years old. I have regular plates on the car, our insurance agent suggested that because I was driving it so much.... don't know why it matters.

I'll PM you on Monday (maybe tomorrow night) with the rest of the info.

Jason

Is it possible that the car is still carrying the coupe VIN and the PA DMV didn't notice it? Does the title say "COUPE" or "CONVERTIBLE", and is the fourth digit of the VIN a "3" or a "6"?

BTW, gorgeous car.
