My Keisler TKO-600 arrived last night! *PICS*
The FedEx guy lugged a 130lb box up to my door yesterday. Fortunately, I was not there to receive his wrath! Here's the PICS!
The shipping box is the Tremec original and is all double wall. Very sturdy. Shipping weight was about 130 pounds. It did fit into my car's trunk.
Opening it up!
Spicer U-joint as installed on Keisler driveshaft.
Kit contents: output yoke, mount bracket, Prothane bushing, hardware

I'm not familiar with Keisler's, where's the linkage?

HP TV did a good show this weekend of setting up a TKO. They made it look really simple on how to use a dial indicator and adjustable block dowels to set bell housing runout to less than .005 from the crank shaft center line. They also set the bell housing rear mounting face came in under .004 parrallel to the blocks rear surface so they didn't have to shim the bell housing to the block.
They used a home made piece of rod to check the distance from the center of the pilot bushing to the back of the bell housing to ensure that the input shaft of the TKO was the same length and wouldn't bottom out during installation. They also did a trial fit to verify that it slide right into the mounted flywheel and pressure plate.

Very nice I am jsut about ready to order mine, not in a real hurry as it won't be going in until spring.
I didn't think FEDEX would ship something that heavy ?
I sure hope the tranny fits properly into my existing pilot bushing, I noticed they sell those too I hope they don't want you to change to theirs or something like that ?

Not a bad wait considering I'm waiting for either a return phone call or return email from the Keisler folks. And by the way my first attempt to reach them was in April. Good luck with your install.

BTW, I odered the 0.64:1 OD ratio. They have a .82 as well if you're into road racing (good for long back straights) Also, the torque capacity in 4th (1:1) is 600 ft-lbs (650hp). I should have some room for engine mods
I ordered mine online. Never talked to anybody except to inquire about shipping dates. They called me within a couple days to verify the details and then took a $1,000 deposit. They didn't charge me for the balance until the day it shipped. Overall, a very easy transaction for the type of product (essentially a custom transmission).
The pilot bearing is included in the kit price. It's a needle bearing. There are only three options and I ordered them all. A console shift-pattern trim plate, the handle, and the poly bushing (rubber is standard).
I don't know about the yoke straps. Haven't read the installation guide yet. I'm sure they figured it out.

The Tremecs are great. After driving my Tremec my brother in law ordered one for himself. He just got it installed and said it changed the whole car and how it drove. He got the 600 with the .64 overdrive. He is running a 4.10 gear in the rear. Big improvement.

ATTENTION !!!!!!!! Just want to give you the heads up before you install the tranny. Remove the speedo cable plug, and look up inside and make sure it hasn't been over drilled. There is a o-ring just above that drill hole. If the CNC mech. over drills that hole the o-ring won't seal and you will have a oil leak. I know. I had to take the tranny out and fix the leak. Kesiler was very good with the warrenty. They stand behind there work. But, It was a set back. But I'm loving the performance now.

I remember when mine came in. Looked just like that. It is packed very neatly. I got the black shifter ****. It all fits in very nicely. So far I have about 3k miles on mine. It just keeps getting smoother and smoother shifting. As far as installing the driveshaft into the tranny yoke, I just used a C-clamp and pressed it in. So far so good. Yours will be even lower than mine, I got the .68 version. Good luck with the install. I put mine in last halloween if I remember correctly and haven't looked back. Changed the whole car.
According to my Sig, I installed on Halloween. LOL!!!!
