The rub the frame on full lock steering. So, I have moved to 245/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear.

Default 255/60/15

I have them on my 79, L-82 4 speed car with the original aluminum rims. I bought the car from the original owner in 2002. They are listed on the original window sticker. According to him, if the car was ordered with 255's, GM ground the inner fender lip to give the proper clearance on the fronts. I have checked several 79's and there are differences in the lips. Mine do not hit, front or rear.

They fit on my 73. The front leave slight rub marks on the frame from hard turns.

My 245/60R15s rub on tight turns, but that was probably because of worn out bushings and ball joints. If your front suspension is nice and tight I'm sure you won't have any problems. I don't think mine rubs anymore after rebuilding it, but I haven't driven it enough. It was only at full lock anyways.
