With the possible bad weather this weekend (naturally) I decided to get new wiper blades for the '69. Problem is the wiper motor won't run. The last time I checked it was about 2 months ago and all was well.

What I have is....12v to the switch. The door opens and I can hear the relay pick for the motor but no movement.


Will the wipers run without the engine running?

Is the ground wire hooked up to the wiper motor? Came off on me once.

Ground wire is on. I have 12v to the motor plug. Next I nedd to check to see of the motor windings opened up on me. I hate pulling that motor, it's a real PITA.

Hi , Is the switch ( the one that you use to park the blades on the windshield to replace the blades ) below the steering column turned to on , and are the wiper blades maybe locked together ? Pretty common occurance, it has hapened to me more then once. Peace,,,,,,,,,,,,,Craig

Override is closed and the wipers are moving free. Disconnected the rod the the wiper assm to check that they were'nt locked together.
