Well the guy I bought the car from said he paid $500 CDN each for them, but I thought he was blowing smoke. They are 15X7 in front and 15X8.5 in back.

Rallys are nice. I think I have seen them in a 16" version now. Anybody seen/tried those?

I just noticed when I looked at my avator of the Corvette Summer car - that car has the same wheels that you had.

I was at a show two weeks ago and saw a neat variant on the stock ralleys. Have them chrome plated. Same stock look, but you get the full chrome shine. They really looked nice......

Very similar except for the black between the spokes, mine were all unpainted.

Yeah;
a local guy has them on his '72 Mille Miglia Vette, and they look really good, too!
No trim ring, just the center-cap to hide the lug-nuts.

A buddy is getting a set from SUMMIT for his '77 this Winter:
I think he said they are less than $100 each.....

Another buddy tried my N90 aluminum wheels on his '77, but we both agreed that Rally wheels look better on the '68-'77 Sharks, and the aluminum wheels belong on '78-up C3s.

Right again about the classic rallye wheels. However, I wanted to be able to buy modern tires;i.e. larger that 15 inches. I've got Wheel Vintiques versioin of the classic rallye wheel. They're 17 inch diameter which gives me a wide selection of modern tires. But they look like classic rallye wheels when you look at them on the car say at about 20 feet away. They're all aluminum, the have the "hat" hubcaps, the classic wheel chrome trim ring is actually a chrome plated part of the wheel, and the vertical part of the wheel is painted silver/grey to match the classic wheel.

Default Keeping it stock

I like the classic look of the rally wheels on the C3s. Maybe its just a bit nostalgic, but they look so much better than the rims you had on it.

Do you know what the difference in weight was between the magnesiums and the ralleys?

I see that the "Billet Chevy Style Rallye 17x8 is custom built to your specifications". Could you share the sizes you specified and do you have any rubbing problems?
