You should ask this question in the C3 section. there are several members from Australia posting there...

Title your post "Importing to Australia." that should get you some help.

There is a guy named Craig that is in the process of importing a car bought from me into Australia. I have his email address. It is: tri389@picknowl.com.au

I'm sure he can help you out.

Greg

Wil,
It depends on what year you want to import. In Victoria the laws are
Anything up to 15 years old has to be converted to RHD by a RAWS (Registered Automotive Work Shop, this part is national. Do a search on Raws and see what you get cos they keep changing the rules every couple of years) If it is over 15 years to 25 years the RHD conversion can be done by yourself but it needs an engineers certificate. Over 25 yrs and it can be left LHD and put on club permit scheme. Over 30 years and you can have full rego. Unsure of the rules in Canberra.
In Victoria, there are a few importers who will bring in a car for around $2300.
Have you joined Corvettes of Canberra? They should be able to point you in the right direction.
