Default new body mounts

my '78 prob has over 200k miles on it, 4k on new engine. when should i start thinking about replacing body mounts? they look pretty beat up but will replacing them make that big of difference in handling or getting rid of squeaks?

I would plan on doing it in the fall. Start by soaking the bolts with WD-40 or PB Blaster now and by then you might get lucky and get them ot without breaking anything. I wasn't so lucky and ahd to replace the rusted out rocker channels. More info can be found on my web page. I did get ride of a lot of noise after I finished.
