Re: How We Drive Corvettes in Denver (Smokehouse69)
That's true as long as the snow is coming straight down.... however, out here, we usually have a 60-mph wind blowing from the west. If you drive north, the snow hits you right in the side of the head at any speed below 80. If you go south, the greater distance and angle from the other side of the car allows you to run about 65. If you point the car west, you can stop at the red lights without getting any snow in the car, but going eastbound requires near-sonic speed.... No problem.

 , but I don't think I would be safe to drive with the amount of antifreeze (alchohol) I would need to get me ready for the cold

G'day Lars.
It's good to see you driving in the snow, we just don't get any down here, in the big cities at least. We have to drive into the mountains to find snow, and only in winter and early spring. I miss you guys and want to come back, but don't think that will be for a while. I just had my property settlement and I have to mortgage my **** off to pay out the wife. I can just manage to hang on to the '74 so will now concentrate on getting it roadworthy and registered. With any luck, that will be sometime in May/June. I will post some photos of me driving it UPSIDE DOWN, as that's the way we do it down here! Hasta la vista, amigo.

What a pretty car!
But I don't understand what would stop someone from driving on that day?
Surely it can't be that floating stuff ??

wish i had a picture to show you guys, we had so much snow this year, we were blocked in our road for a day. the huge snowplow had to take a few runs. After te plow went through, the banks were about 10 ft high. its like driving in a tunnel. not corvette whether, oh, and it went down to -62C which is -80F in January.

When there's that much snow I drive my C4 which has a snow plow attachment on it. When it's colder than -20 I wear a hat.

Don't get much snow down here, but if I were one who didn't didn't drive in the rain, my Vett would not see the road from June- October. Then again, my car will never win (or even enter) a NCRS event.
-drive it 'til it's broke, then call AAA-

Gidday Lars!
Weather has been wet and not quite miserable here in Melbourne but we are looking forward to Easter when we have the National Corvette Convention happening in Melbourne. Biggest yet with 200 Vettes registered. Sunday is the driving day when we get to go out to the GM proving ground at Lang Lang and do the high speed banked circle track plus some "witches hat" work.(motorkhana). Zero Blood alcohol level is specced so lite beers for Saturday night. Bugger!
Show and shine is on Sat so I am spending this weekend washing and detailing after driving in the rain during the week
:cry
Get a VB into Ya!
