Most have stayed with the original Corvette steering columns due to the "collapsability" of them. With all the fiberglass up front, a solid steering column becomes a spear in a front end accident. If your going only for show, then it would not be a problem. Just my .02 :flag

I'd hate to bring it up, but I put a flaming river column in my 70 mustang.... The biggest hassle was that it doesn't have an ignition key - so unless you have a '68 you'll need to find a place for that...
