Lars,

I just wanted to give you a big thank you for the effort and good information you have put into your tech articles. I refer to them quite often and actually keep a notebook with my favorites in them. Some that I have used in the past include:

How to Install your Distributor, Rev. A
How to Set Your Ignition Timing, Rev. B
Vacuum Advance Control Units Facts and Specs, Rev. B

I am presently using "How to Tune Your Holley, Rev. A" to fine tune my Holley. Thanks to your article, I discovered that I needed to change my power valve by 3 sizes which should correct my rich condition at idle. I know that I can count on you for concise, factual information.

Thanks again!

Lars, with all this great info you have why don't you just put it all on a web page. If space is a problem I'm sure we could all donate some space and you could link to it. just a thought

Lars, the site rocks...now it just needs content.

Seriously though, it looks like a good place to go when it's ready. I can also see the Lars (tm) brand of humor in the site. I miss Colorado.

Order your complete set, bound in leather, for only 3 easy payments of $99.99!!!! Your first article will be yours to keep, and if you decide you want the entire set (and we are sure you will) you will receive a new leather bound article every month until your set is complete! .............hmmmmm might not be a bad idea. I wouldn't mind a leatherbound set myself!! :) MJ

BTW, how up to date is http://www.corvettefaq.com ? I have used that site a couple of times to source relevant articles, and have several printed out.

Is the Qjet tuning article you listed the complete one that includes all the carb #s with jetting info? I thought there were 2 articles there... I have all that printed out.

Hey Greg -
We're having a sheetrock-hanging-event in my garage Saturday 1-3-04. Stop by!
I wish I could. I've been fighting this flu the last few days and I'm in no shape to hang drywall. If it lasts into next weekend or if you have a painting event coming up then count me in!

Default low miles 73 has poor power

Lars,
I am excited about contacting you because it seems you have the ability to help me with a poor running problem I have with my 73 sb no air,4sp,coupe.I got the car 6 mos ago,it ran rough so I did a tune up.I know how to do plugs and points and set timing. It actualy ran poorer after,so i rechecked and found plugs bad after 50 miles ,lots of light carbon. This is a very original 16k miles car,and I would like to maintain the stock look.Compression is 170+-5,Vac is normal at idel but goes to red zone when reved.Timing is 12 initial, and only advances about 4 " on light.Plugs are AC 44T.Do you think your rebuild & tune will help me.Daron Clark recomends you,you did his 73 Q- jet, runs great
Sincerely, Jim

This thread is only six years old. I would imagine Lars has the drywall taped, mudded, sanded, sealed, and painted by now .
