I'd want to crawl under it before bidding.

Why is their seat belt gathered on the driver's side of the passenger seat? My belts come from the door area.

Note the radio ***** are not centered in the bezel.

I'd request the numbers off of the block and pics of the underside.

Mick, there also was a Maroon 454 '74 coupe that was under $10K on eBay the other day. Did'nt keep the ad, but you could "search" it under "1974 Corvette" and find it.

A big block with A/C and power and matching #'s at that price

Hey, go check it out. If the frame is tight - I would buy if I were looking. Even if #'s dont match, this is still a good buy at the current price - course the auction aint over yet!

Not that it really matters at the current bid

Nope! Black book says YJ8 cast aluminum wheels did appear on the option list but records indicate that none were sold. :nono:

I emailed the guy about the frame and got this reply:

Hi

Frame is straight!

No rust!

Some seems could be better adjusted!

Some seams could be better adjusted??? What does that mean??

And "STOCK DUAL RACING MIRRORS" I missed that one on the factory option sheet!!! With the optional hole in the left door panel for the inside remote.

This guy has to be a dealer!!! IMO I would be very cautious about this car. Too many things are missing, incorrect, or not working (air filter, fan shroud, headers, headlight vaccum, gauges, color, misalaigned doors and hood, seats that don't fold foward, rear window trim, embelms) the list probably continues. It is a BB 1974 Corvette but not much of it stock or original.

You may want to check with some of the people that gave him feedback from previous car sales on ebay. Just to see how happy they are with the cars purchased from him.

It's for sale in NY Bronx area
Are you sure? When I click on the link on the auction page it shows a dealer name and a Nutley NJ address. That is actually not too terribly far from me. If you look at his other auctions he is selling and has sold a lot of muscle cars and a couple of other corvettes. Uses mostly private auctions, which I don't like. Does not have a long ebay history which raises possibility that he sold previously under another name, but I don't see anything alarming that couldn't be explained. No matter what, it is ill advised to buy a used car sight unseen! MJ

Go to the Northeast section, see if anyone is in that area, though Mark is close, slip mark a five, and con him to inspect the car for ya. :D

I have said this before... and I will say it again...

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR....

also... did you ever notice... Some Corvette owners know everything about Corvettes when they own them.... When the car goes up for sale.... they become uneducated
