Will get my Carbon Fiber driveshaft and Half Shaft installed this Friday!!!
Thursday night I'm going to drive to Clearwater to have my Carbon Fiber shafts installed at VAN STEEL in Clearwater!! :party: :party: :party:

I'll take some pics from the install...
BTW - I'm also upgrading the driveshaft to 1350 series :cool: :cool: wich is a lot stronger than the stock 1330 series...

yep the 1/2 shafts are $600 and the :steering: shaft is $650. They can handle 1000hp easy

That's interesting that the CF units can handle that kind of power, does NHRA identify these parts in regards to forcing someone with an IRS convert to a solid axle when they go faster than a 10.99 ?

Isn't it amazing what they can make with that stuff? It looks like fancy fiberglass, but I would bet fiberglass half shafts would snap in about 3 seconds! :lol:

I plan on replacing mine with the carbon next year, I found out that my ZR-1 had done some racing in its time so better save to replace these 31 year old parts. What is the weight differential btn stock and the carbon fibre units, as well as drive shaft.

question!! Can the u-joints handle 1000 hp?? To me saving 5.5lbs (even if it`s rotating mass) is not worth $600 especially that close to your centerline. But what do I know?? ...redvetracr
