Default Pics of Corvettes [mostly neglected] that I saw on the way to the beach

A couple of weeks ago I made a run to the beach for a few days of R&R. There are always a few Corvettes that I spot along the way. All of these were spotted in L.A. [ lower Alabama.] on the way to the Redneck Riviera.

1. This first one was still in my area code.

2.This looked like a neglected 63. I would have gotten closer, but the wife said I had better not go any closer, that I might get us shot. I got spooked and stopped and took this pic and got out of there.

3. This was a Corvette my son spotted about three years ago, but this is the first time I actually have seen it.

4.

5. This last one was the only decent one in the bunch, and it was a beauty.

Ohsixx,
Yea, years ago before my two sons grew up and we would be traveling. They would play a game and try to spot all the Corvettes and determine what year they were.

Did the boys carry the passion over to adulthood?

Yea, They are 36 and 32 yrs old now. They were hooked at a early age. They never had a chance.

As a hobby I like to buy and sell Corvettes. They love to find them for me, but they grieve everytime I sell one. They want to keep them all.

Hey I do it too! I have a camera in the car to take pictures of 'vettes, and other cool cars. So far the only one on the roll is a stretch Hummer. All I see is c5s around here. Almost a dime a dozen, but I still want one! Would rather a c3 though. So as I was saying....seeing a vette usually catches me off guard and I usually pass it before I can get out the camera.

I don't understand people like this. I guess it's the only way they get any visitors.

We need Repo to go out there for a pick up.

It almost seems like the neglect is a rule more than than the exception. We know that's not true, but man, thos pics are horrible.

It looks like you get into some hairy locations to get these shots. I agree with your wife, you better wear your flak jacket!! :jester
I know if someone came onto my property and started photographing my vette, Id probably freak out.

Other than trespassing, spotting them is great fun. My vette radar is pretty good. I can spot a vette from a periferal vision glimpse, even if its behind another car it seems. Its almost a 6th sense that forces me to look!!! Id say I can spot 'em out to almost a 1/2 mile.

I'm feeling guilty... some of those resemble my car. At the same time I kinda have to stick up for some of those guys maybe. My car looks like a heap that some of you probly think should be 'rescued', and that's cause I'm a starving college kid living at home and I can't afford to do a frame off yet... SORRY... it only gets nicer the longer I own it, and I only have the best intentions for it, but it seems like people think that if somebody can't afford to replace every body panel (or better yet have somebody else do it) and apply a new high gloss paint job to compliment their brand new interior that they're somehow doing their car and the rest of you a disservice.
I think it's cool that some wierd guy in southern alabama wants to someday have a corvette as nice as y'alls, but untill then all he has is a corvette.
 sorry guys i'm done
