Wish me luck, I'm going to the track Saturday
Well If the weather holds up I am taking my Vette to the track. I know I'm not going to be turning incredible numbers I just want the experience of taking it down the track. It is about a 50 mile drive just to the track and I promised myself I am just going to take 4 or 5 runs (yah right) so I don't abuse the car too much. It is an 81 vette with true dual exhaust, flowmaster mufflers, an HEI Distributor w/recurve kit, the AIR pump removed, and a non computer controled Quarajet. It's basically like a stock L48 Vette. An automatic and stock rear. I'll be happy to turn low 16's or high 15's. I will be really happy to just take it to the track and not break anything. Well I just want to have fun. Good Luck!! Have fun!! One tip to offer you, make your runs with the engine as cool as possible. Cooler engine=more power :chevy

Have fun. I have been gettign an urge to go down the runway myself...maybe sometime soon! :thumbs:

The only thing to remember is to have fun!!! I really hate it when I go to the strip and someone I go with gets all upset about being there and ruins the time for me.

I'm going with 73jst4fun this Saturday also. Just a test and tune day to see how well the cars are running
