I'm looking at getting a set of Dart Iron Eagle heads, and am wondering if I should go with the 180, 200 or 215cc runners with the following engine specs??

Performer intake
Holley 750 DP

Re: [Heads] What size runners ?? (Metal Wulf)
I really like what 69stingray said in a comparison of small block street heads. He averaged the flow numbers for .3” - .55” valve lift. You can take a look on post Re: help me buy large valve heads (wadey).
I really like the World Products torquers I bought pocket ported for $850 from Performance Chevy Products in Phoenix, AZ (602)254-9586.
Only 170cc runners and should work great on a mild 350 street machine. That’s larger than any stock runner the General used.
Now will that cam run into the high rpm’s that could use large runners at all? 9.6 c.r. is nice (wish I had it) and should help low rpm torque. This engine would be fun to drive with small runners – why test big runners when you’d have a nice street package already? Could you really gain that much with big runners to risk having a PITA to drive around town? :chevy :seeya

I was thinking the 180's, but then motorhead got me thinking about the 200's...

I would suggest the 180's or 200's. I have the 180s and they work well with my Crane Energizer 272H cam. I may step up to a bigger cam to take advantage of .400-.500 flow rates.

I would go with the 200's.With a 350 running a mild cam the 200's will not be too big,and if there's any chance in the future for stroking or swapping in a 400 block, the 180's will be too small for sure.(Unless you want a tow truck engine to pull the race car to the track.)
