Anyone have a Fuel Pressure gage for a crossfire I could borrow?
Trying to check my fuel pressure. Here's what GM's looks like:
It will probably cost more to make this than a fuel pump cost but the thought of dropping the tank again... just thought I'd ask.

just get a liquid filled gauge from summit, jegs or something like that, make sure it runs to at least 15psi. Then T it into the fuel line BETWEEN both TB's, I would use braided hose and AN fittings, can't remember what the thread on the TB's was but it's inverted flare, russel has the correct ones in their listing. This way you will be able to keep monitoring pressure (very important for EFI system) and it's probably cheaper than a seperate pressure gauge (which will require a schrader valve on the fuel line)

I put one here - fits under the air cleaner with no problem - passenger side.
Some said won't work. I made it work.

A mechanic told me just today that the CFI engines run on very low fuel pressure. Something like from 7-15 lbs. so your pump would have to almost dead to be a problem. Don't know if that helps you, but I thought I'd pass that along.

The crossfire needs about 12 or 13 psi to operate correctly, especially at WOT. The stock 82 fuel pump is weak, and people have gotten down to 7 psi at WOT with it.
That's why it is always suggested to switch out the stock pump for an 85 or newer fuel pump to hold the 13 psi.
