On my 85 I had the same thing happen. I went to a tire shop, they directed me to a weld shop, who welded a round rod on the end of it. Then they put a pipe wrence on the rod and took it off. 20 bucksI would find one a tire shop uses so they would be used to doing it without messing up the wheel.
