You mean those "holes" are not there to "lighten" the frame?????
...redvetracr
Those are "speed holes". For lighter weight and if you put a bunch of holes in the body you get less wind resistance.

hey kiddo,

Brooklyn, huh??? You youngsters are supposed to know more than the average blokes. Cool to see ya on here. I just recently got on. This is the funniest thing I've seen so far, although yesterday a funny thing happened to me....... I stopped at a convienience store for milk on the way home from work. The lady behind the counter said something about my car..... I figured she asked "what year?"....but noooooo, she asked "What kind of car it is..." Of course, my reply was simply..."Corvette. " She's looking at it real hard...and says...."It has a Pontiac front and a Camaro rear." I looked at her like the foolish individual I suspected her to be.... then she says...."maybe you never paid no attention." "Lady", I said, "There is no other car that really compares with that one. "

ps::: what kinda vette is in that garage your dwelling in????

Chris you forgot about all of our steel bodied 4 seater vettes with the 80 mpg carb that do not rust either.
You must mean those 80 MPG carbs that have been around for years that the government and the oil companies don't want us to know about! :D

heatison, my wife had a similar experience with a kid in his early 20's that was at the house doing the carpets while we had it out tinkering on it. He looked it over for a while then asked my wife what kind of car is that. She replied "What f'n country are you from??" His boss laughed and said "he's not the brightest bulb is he!" Anyway, I'd scoop on the fiberglass framed vette, it'll probably be worth a fortune some day. Make sure you look it over closely for stress cracks though!!!!!!

The only ones that rust are the 83s. That's why you don't see many around anymore. :hat :p:

I've heard the 52's had the same problem.

This was heard from a guy whose ex-wife's father's bowling buddy knew someone who knew someone's cousin who saw one being restored at the plant in BG, in the late 60's or early 70's.

if they don't rust then you come over and replace both #4 body mount reinforcement brackets.

and also fill this 5 gallon bucket with all this crap that came off the frame when i removed ALL the rear suspension.
