That is very cool. It woul dbe interesting to track down the original owners.
The best I found was a playing card in the door pillar, in through the kick panel vents.

I bought my '68 Bonnie coupe from a couple who were Pontiac collectors. They said it was her car to drive daily and she used it to cart the 4 daughters around.
Pulled the back seat and found a whole bunch of Barbie stuff, you know, hair brushes, shoes etc.
When I bought it (back in '91) she had 120Kmiles on her. I did 18k around America and then brought her home. She now has 315K on the odometer.
Always meant to send pictures of the RHD conversion to the previous owners and didn't get around to it.

Wow, that's great. It would be neat to find the owner that wrote the note. How many owners has the car had? I talked to the second owner of mine and he told me a lot of history of it. He knew the original owner who owned it for 17 years. Part of the fun of my restoration was finding out the history of the car. Good luck if you start searching!

When I was changing the carpet in my'81, I found a few quarters and dimes and a receipt for paying in some money into the bank right back in 1985 and that was it. Nothing very exiting.

the only thing I have found was a reciept for front calapers in 1985 for $130 each, and a reciept for a battery in 1990.

Only thing I found (from the former owner) when I went to pick it up was a substantial amount of sand inside the stock air cleaner...maybe I bargained a little too hard(?). Found the sand after driving about 100 miles home.
But, no damage to bearings, cylinder walls, etc.
Cheers!!

While installing new carpet in my 73 and using a shop vac to clean inside the body by the fresh air vent I found a homogenized milk aluminum cap in new condition from the Marigold Milk Co. from Fort Worth, Texas, my cars history is from the Texas, Oklahoma area.....

all I found under my driver's seat was about $2 in change, an '85 vintage asprin, fossilized french fries, and a heap of shattered glass (break in? I strongly suspect a driver's-side accident). The was stored '85-'02 (with only 2 miles on the engine rebuild!) If I am ever forced to sell it, I'll leave a well hidden note, this car has alot of memories in this last year, 14k miles.
