Default 1978 Anniversery Emblems

Can anyone tell me if they made any 1978's without the anniversery emblem
on the front of the hood? I'm thinking about buying a car from a guy who is the second owner, and he say's to his knowledge, the car has never been in an accident or repainted. The thing is, the emblem on the hood isn't the anniversery emblem but the steering wheel and gas cap are. Also, the flags have been removed on the front fenders. The holes have been filled and obviously repainted. The car needs interior work and a paint job, but has only 62,000 miles and appears to run great. Should I be concerned?

Default Re: 1978 Anniversary Emblems (ugman)

"25th Anniversary" emblems appeared exclusively on 78 models
That's how it's worded in the Corvette Black Book
