Default Need help with Tail Light Conversion kit

I have the outboard tail light replaced, but the inboard tail light won't fit, as the hole at the back is offset to high. I was going to just cut it out with a hole saw, but was wondering if anyone has run into this before, or did Mid America ship me the wrong parts?

If you're talking about the bubble conversion, I had to cut the opening on my '77 also.

Ya, the conversion went great until I had to work on the inboard lights. Is there any reason why the lights were ofset as the were. The only thing I cacn come up with is to make sure the light with the reverse light on it was placed in the correct socket.

Just cut it out. The back plate is just plastic or fiberglass. I just did that last week with a hole saw.
