Default invisible Flames

Even though the money won't be available for a couple years, I wanted to get the forum opinion on a paint scheme.

I want to keep the same color, but add invisible flames form teh front wheels to about 3/4 way down the side.

Would this be cool  or more of a Yuck :_dupe:

There is a really cool 4 door nomad wagon (rare) that has flames like that. It looks really good, maybe I can dig up a picture of it.

77Dream, if you can find that pic, that would be awesome, I am trying to find a good example to show the wife, she doesn't undertand it.

So far everyone says.

Now to start setting the money aside and find a place that can do them right.

I have seen a bumper car on here that had a black paint job with a ghosted checker board flag that looked really cool. The flag only covered about a 3 or 4 inch wide swath(?) along the front panel and then up the fenders. If I see the picture again I will post it.

I like ghost flames BTW.

IF, I ever get around to painting this car I suspect it will be white on the bottom, going through greens/blues and finally dark blue/green on top....
WITH ghose flames out the gills, and a ghost shark on the hood....

Ghost flames down the side of a car are a bad idea. My car got hit twice while parked within the first couple of months. It attracts morons just like a light bulb attracts moths

I was not going to have them repainted on a third time! It has never been hit again. My flames are on the top surface only.

gkull, that is one GREAT looking shark there, well done sir!!!

good color choice too, certainly ONE of the shades I"d like to hit in the variatons from bottom to top on mine....

NOW I"m not sure if there will ever be side flames....maybe small ones on the scoops....I dunno....
If on the top, they might be a bit much with the ghose shark on the hood....

oh well, dreamers and schemers.... :D :lolg:

They look real cool.

The ones I saw were a peal coat laid down in different thickness over a black paint job. They also airbrushed some more pearl in for highlights.

Another trick I saw a long time back in Hot Rod Magazine was a white stripe up the hood that had a checkerboard pattern laid in with pearl. Looking straight on you saw the white strip. At an angle you could see the checkered flag pattern.

GHOST FLAMES are in my future. Now lets get the economy so I can make some sale bonuses to get this done sooner.
