I've decided I want red calipers because I like they way they look on ZO6s. I'm looking for a good paint to paint them with, and if anybody has pictures of his/her painted calipers, please post them!
If your still looking for caliper paint, I believe I've seen them in Corvette Central or Ecklers catalogs. Another place would be to find it in an import magazine. It isnt rice if its done well and looks good.
I painted my calipers a few weeks and I'm very happy with the results. I used VHT Brake Caliper, Drum and Rotor paint. Paint code SP-731 Racing Red. Got it at Autozone. It's a really nice bright glossy red. Looks very cool behind my Cragar SS mags. :yesnod:
By the way, I managed to paint the calipers while they were still mounted to the rotor. I rigged up a mask using thin cardboard from a 12-pack and lots of tape. Also used lots of newspaper to catch any overspray. The end result turned out better than I expected. It looks very cool.
i've sprayed various calipers on my cars and friends cars with normal paint or engine paint. looks good either way...if your wanting to brush it on, i'd definitely go with one of those rice kits.

Re: What to paint calipers with? (Buffalo Dude)
I used Red Devil brush-on Polyurethane paint. Calipers were on the car. Came out good enough for me considering the calipers are 30 years old!
i've painted a couple calipers with por-15 silver, i'm actually pretty surprised with the results. it gives them a nice aluminum kind of look, and the thing that really surprises me is that the por-15 seems completly immune to brake fluid.

I just used hi-temp spray paint that I bought at the hardware store, brushed it on did not spray it on. Still holding up good after about 8 months.
