Default info on a69 option number

my gas tank sticker has an option listed under the comfort and con. section with the numbers 02GS2AA. can someone help me out.

Charles,

I seem to recall that GS2 was a rear axle ratio designation, although I don't remember which one it was... Probably a higher (lower numerically) ratio in the order of 3.08 or 3.36 to 1.

There may be a second reference to the rear axle ratio on the build sheet if your car was equipped with positraction (G81). In addition, the rear axle code and assembly information is stamped into the differential housing assuming you still have the original.

I'm sure someone will be along to give you exactly what ratio GS2 designates... Afraid the old memory isn't quite up to speed on that one.

After checking some references, it looks like GS2 is a 3.08 to 1 rear axle ratio.
