Found some pics of my dad's Muscle Cars back in the day. *Dial-ups Beware*
I found some lost/misplaced pics of some of my dad's toys of yesteryear.
First was his '68 Hemi GTX. He bought this car when he returned home from Nam. It was a '68 w/ a 426 Hemi, 4.11 gears and a 727 Torqueflight tranny.
Here is his '68 Dodge Charger 440ci 6pack, 4.11 gears, 4speed and pistol grip shifter. My older brother found out first hand this comobonation of a Big Block, low gears and a stick does work well in the rain. He managed to runn off the road and landed into a shallow pond (about 4ft deep).
Next is his '64 Impalla Ss with a 327 and Th400. I was 8yrs old when he owned this car. I HATED it with a passion because all the kids made fun of me calling it the "Big Bananna". :mad Bastards....... :D
Here is one of his hot rods from the late '60's, it had a hot 327 and 4speed and 4.11's.
Here is his race car from the mid '60s'. It was named the "Suzie Q", she had 283 which he later swapped for a hot 327 and 4 speed.
This was his '38 Chevy with a built 454 and Th400. He built the motor for a friend that tracor pulled and it dynoed at 1200hp with Nitrous. He de-tuned the motor and removed the juice and installed it in the car. It made the 1998 Snap-On Calander.
Here is his current project. It's a '37 Buick Special and he is installing a '00 Caddy Northstar DOHC V8 out of a STS. He converted it to a rear wheel drive and it's backed by a 4L60E overdrive tranny. It has front independent suspenion, 4 wheel dics and a rear end out of a '00 Z28 Camaro.

You are very fortunate to have a passion that you can share with your Dad. That type of relationship is very special. Enjoy it while you can because it is always way too short when we look back upon it.
Cool cars but where was his Big Block Vette? Many forget that there where many, many muscle cars in those days. Great times that the Arab Oil Embargo quickly put to an end.

Excellent pictures. I wish I could have come across some of my dads pics like this too. He told me about some of his cars. At one time I remember a 69ish Ford Truck with a really big block. I remember it because it got hot and we walked to where a freshwater spring was and got a gallon of water. It was a really cool truck to a little kid.

This is a picture of my 69 Cobra Jet bought new and one week later stripped and the motor done over with 12.5 compression, dual 780 holleys, a very healthy cam, headers, ported heads, Nitrous, yes nitrous in 69, 456 gears, a worked over C6 and small high stall convertor. The car was gutted interior, plexiglass windows, and holes everywhere.
Ran low 10's on the street as you see it hear. I sold the car in about 74 and today it is a few miles from here in mint condition just like it was back then.
