Default What Brand spark plug are you guys using?

I will probably be putting headders on this weekend. So I figured whith the manifolds coming of before I put the headders on there cann't be a better time to change the plugs right? So I have a stock 81 Vette what type of plugs do you guys recomend. Should I just go with regular ACdelco or is there something better. Or being that it is stock it doesn't matter what plugs.

I switched over to the AC Rapidfires and they've been excellent. I installed them when I rebuilt the engine around 3 or 4 years ago and haven't touched them yet. I'm using them with the stock wires and there is no header interference.

im runnin AC CR43ts The C in front of the # stands for comercial grade. Same as the R43's but thicker electrodes and grounding posts. They make them for several popular #'s. Just add a C in front of yur normal AC # and see if they have em.

I've got Autolites. They were in the car when I bought it. They still look really good. The car starts extremely fast, even with bad valve seals. I'm not messing with them for now. :steering:

Rapid fires for me, too! I had read a post that they had helped with oil fouling.

I look around and get what I think is best at the time. The only criteria I look for is that they need to be platinum plugs. The element Platinum is a catalyst between the reaction of hydrogen and oxygen to form water h20. Platinum plugs will even help an engine that has cracked valves and a serious miss (I know this from experience). Platinum helps the fuel/air mixture burn more completely and thus also helps pass smog checks.
