I would agree but the front plate doesn't cover the radiator grille on my year.



These are some great ideas guys. I'm thinking about a plate with 1975 on it. Something quiet like black with silver lettering.

I use a black license plate with chrome 80-82 "corvette" script across it and it accents the front nicely imo :smash:

I took this metal thinger off yesterday, solid metal behind it, so much for ramair or ventilation without some major cutting.

I got a simple C3 flag logo on a black plate. Cost me around $10 at the dealership- they had it sitting amongst the hats and decals, it just happened to catch my attention one day.

That should unbolt for easy removal, though you may have to get to it from underneath through the lower valance panel. On my '74 I unbolted and removed the metal backing and installed the factory center grill, which I think is the best way to go for looks as well as airflow to the radiator.

THe frame behind the liscense plate mount and bumper cover is the metal I'm referring to. Does anyone have a picture of a 75-77ish c3 with center grill? flyinhi's continuous grill (if I'm not confusing you with somebody else) looks great, but the add on center one seems like it would sit out too far perhaps?

Beyond license plates, the Corvette suppliers sell a piece that looks like grill to fill that space.........

Also, if you get one airbrushed, it would be a good idea to spend a few extra dollars at Wal-Mart and get a plastic cover to keep the plate from getting scratched. It's also easier to clean bugs off without worrying about screwing up your plate.

heres what i have...it is "cut out" black vinyl aplied to a stainless steel tag so that the letters and border are stainless...

If your car is black, definitly go with the jolly roger style skull and cross bones, that is definitely on my list of things that will be put on my car. the bad arseyness of the car sky rockets with that mod, lemmie tell you.
