Hey there you are. I was going to email you but I got lazy. Is your site till active? Cause I tried registering like a month ago, and tried again the other day and it gave me the same error again. Do you need help? I'd love to develop a php/mysql driven site for a 79 registry. Majorty of the could be automated and run itself.

It should work just fine. I still need to finish up bits and pieces here and there, but the registration is ok now... Help is always welcomed :yesnod:

groovyjay,
do you have plans of putting in a forum for the registered guys? Are the gallery pages dynamic? Links database? Once registered can people edit their own info? Admin side? This is the type of stuff I was thinking of for the registry. Is there a rule, or unwritten rule, that once a registry is made for a specific year someone else can't make one? I don't want to step on your ground or anything. ;)

There's no plans of setting up a forum for the registry. I've seen too many car forums having nice forums set up and have absolutely no one posting there. I think CF and CAC are doing great work as a source of information for us 79 owners. Gallery pages are not dynamic, I can't see why they should be. Yes people can edit their profiles later on, that's why there's a password, so people can login and make changes to their profiles. Of course you can set up your own registry if you want to, you're not stepping on my toes there. I just thought 79registry would be a nice thing to have, since there is so many of us with one such car...

I agree. I figured dynamic gallery pages would be great because it just saves the people running the site that much more time. And it'd be cool to allow members to upload their fav pics of '79s by themself. Also, since there 'should' be so many 79s out there, I thought it'd be quite possible to get an active forum going once a good member base is established. I agree CF forum is a GREAT resource, however, it'd be nice to have a "79 ONLY" forum just to get ideas and suggestions for our 79's.

Jay has made a pretty fine start. Give him just a little more time. I have a host of tips to post when things are up and running.

I've registered and it worked fine for me. I also went and edited some information. The site looks great. Just a thought maybe Superfast has an article on the the 79 in his archives. You could probably link over there.
Every 79 owner should go over and register.
Keep up the great job Jay!!

I'm gonna go ahead a slowly work on a registry site of my own. I'm not trying to put jay out of business or anything....who knows, it might be a good "template" to use for other registries if guys want it.
