1971 Corvette Wiper Problems
Hi All and thank you in advance for any and all help.
Have a 71 Coupe with a wiper problem that is driving me crazy. Wiper door opens when you turn the wiper switch on however the wipers do not activate. If you push the wiper switch in to activate the washer, the wipers come to life but only briefly to run a few cycles and then shuts off. The switch appears to be operational in that is smoothly moves from Off to Low to High and back again without any issues.
Since the wipers do come on even briefly, can I assume the motor is not the problem? Any suggestions from anyone who has experienced the same problem or knows where to look is appreciated.

I'd still say it's the wiper switch.
When you press the button in it provides ground to the wiper pump AND the wiper motor. Once it goes around the one time the pump stops.
So it's possible that the switch low or high isn't giving ground to the yellow wire the motor needs to run but when you press the button in it does since the same wire is used for the pump (sort of)
